How Does a Bio Fireplace Work?

A bio fireplace is an ecological type of traditional fireplace that can be used in any ventilated room in your home, apartment, and on the balcony, terrace, and in the garden. Its construction is resistant to high temperatures, making the fireplace safe to use.

Does a Bio Fireplace Require Additional Installation?

A bio fireplace is powered by biofuel based on ethyl alcohol. Therefore, it does not require connection to a chimney or electrical installation. This is a convenient solution that allows you to freely place the bio fireplace in any location.

Does a Bio Fireplace Heat?

A bio fireplace works great as a source of additional heat for heating rooms. We can quickly raise the temperature by 2-3 degrees. However, it is important to remember that the bio fireplace should not be the main source of generated heat. It is important to match the size of the bio fireplace to the room to achieve optimal effects. The perceived temperature and warmth may vary depending on the size of the room. For example, for rooms of about 25 m², the temperature increase will be noticeable.

 

Bio Fireplace Installation

Installing a hanging bio fireplace is simple and takes less than half an hour!*

The hanging bio fireplace includes all elements needed for installation such as mounting strips and pegs! The mounting strips should be installed according to the instructions. The strips do not cover the entire length of the fireplace; they are designed to be as ergonomic as possible.

The bio fireplace should be hung at least 50 cm from flammable materials. After installing the hanging bio fireplace, place the burner in the housing opening.

Safety is our priority, confirmed by our customers and renowned laboratories!

Our hanging bio fireplaces have a burner with a TUV Safety Certificate, issued by the renowned TUV Rheinland laboratory testing the safety aspects of our products. The burner also has a double bottom and an absorbent insert that protect against unwanted spillage of biofuel.

Each set includes an extinguisher, with which we can extinguish the fire in the bio fireplace at any time.

To increase the level of safety during use, the set includes a funnel, making pouring biofuel easy and convenient.

 

  • Do not add biofuel to a burning bio fireplace
  • Before refilling, make sure the combustion chamber is completely cold
  • For increased safety, we recommend pouring biofuel from the bottle into a smaller container, and then directly dosing it into the bio fireplace

    Flame height, intensity, and burn duration may vary depending on the amount and quality of bioethanol used, airflow, room conditions, and method of operation. No fixed, minimum, or guaranteed burn time or flame height is provided or implied.

    Variations in flame performance within these parameters are a normal characteristic of bioethanol fireplaces and do not constitute a manufacturing defect or product fault.

    Product Condition & Safety

    When used in accordance with the provided instructions, the burner is sealed, structurally intact, and designed not to leak fuel. Proper ignition and combustion indicate correct operation of the product.

    What Is Not Considered a Fault

     A product is not considered faulty if it operates as described but does not meet personal expectations regarding flame size, heat output, or burn duration.

    Inspection and Returns

    Customers may inspect the product to assess suitability. However, use beyond basic inspection may result in a deduction for diminished value in the event of a return, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 

    A full refund is available only where a product is confirmed to be faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

    A product is not considered faulty due to normal variations in performance, including but not limited to flame height, flame intensity, burn duration, or heat output, where such variations are stated in the product description or instructions.

    Where a product has been used beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning, we reserve the right to apply a deduction for diminished value in any refund, as permitted under Section 34 and Section 35 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

    Where a return is not due to a confirmed manufacturing fault, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
